1486 - size of disk

I was wondering if a 1486 would have issues pulling a IH 490 25' with 20" blades.....9" spacing i believe. If so, I"m sure it can pull a 21' model.

First our 1466 then its replacement a 1486 had no problem pulling our 490 disk through all kinds of soil. For some reason I remember it as a 24' disk - not a 25' disk.

Our 1466 w duals and chloride, has no problem with our 490 20'. Unless u are in blow sand, then it floods.

The 1486 we had would pull our 25 ft. 490 in low 3rd. It handled the disk fine in clay or sand soil with duals and fluid in the rear tires. Tried pulling the disk in low 4th and the engine heated up.
