good afternoon i have a farmall super A im having problems with finding sleeves and pistons everybody has the sleeves sets for serial number up to 31000 or so but mine is 35000 i would like to know how to look up date codes for the engine codes and also the sleeves from the new kits are the same dia at the lower end of the sleeve but where the oil seal [rubber o ring seats ] about 3/4 down the sleeve mine is about 5 inches from the top of the sleeve the new ones are about 4 1/8 and when i put the new sleeves in they are not tight you can pull the sleeves out very eazy i put thicker o ring in an dthe same results any help would be geatly helpfull thanks gabor
 
You may have the engine block used on the Super C's. Look for this casting number 354898R1 as the sleeve diameter measure 3.4375" at the seal and the overall length is 7.060" used in this block. Measure the old sleeves and see if they have the same measurements. Hal
PS: You can install an overbore kit in this block without any machining to the block using 3.250" pistons & sleeves.
 
I assume you mean 310000 and 350000. If so you need sleeves for a block with the part number 354898 with an R suffix followed by some number. 354898 R- is cast in the block on the right side. To double check measure the bore diameter at the groove for the sleeve (NOT in the groove, outside of it)-should be 3 7/16 or 3.4375, to make sure someone has not bored it further. It takes 3.25 inch diameter pistons. Also make sure the gasket kit is for an engine without a water pump.
