B and BN narrowest track ?

What is the track (center to center of the rear tires) of a B and BN in the narrowest position? Did they offer single front wheels for them? I was thinking of getting one for spot spraying taller soybeans in 30" rows. Looks like they have good clearance and would do little damage, and could possibly cross rows with the narrow tires.

The BN 56-84"
B 66-94"
Would you consider a Farmall C or Super C?
* You would maybe have a little more ground clearance.
* The same single front wheel will work on a C.
* The C has live hydraulic lift.
* You can tap into the hydraulics to have live remote hydraulic.
* Sit higher for better row visibility.
* Softer seat suspension for a better ride.
* Farmall Cs are probably easier to come by.

But the Farmall B is a fun tractor too.

I use a B to spray my 30 inch rows. I have set the rear rims narrow and have maybe have 4-5 inches clearance both sides. (11.2-24) If you are wanting to spray taller beans, I would suggest a BN as you should gain another 4 inches or so.

Others may have to chime in with the width difference between a B and a BN.
Two wheel tricycle front and 11.2-24 rears is on mine. (I think 11.2 but memory is faulty)

The B is light enough that beans up to 6-7 inches tall won't be damaged, at least you cannot see it within a week or two.

As a point of reference, my cultivator books says that the B cultivator can be set to 32 inches.

K,

The only thing I disagree with on your B/BN vs C comaprison is the visiability. On the B/BN you look straight down on the top of the row and for cultivating you can't get any more acurate view than that. That is why they called it "cultivision". Both are good tractors but the C/SC definitely has more modern features.
