Zenith 161 x 7 carb trottle shaft

The Zenith 161 x 7 carb on my 1950 Farmall C has quite a bit of slap in it. The engine surges at low RPMs. When I very lightly hold the throttle shaft against the carb body, the surging stops. So, I think the surging is caused by loss of vacuum. How can I "shim" the throttle shaft to eliminate the leak? Many thanks!

Get the repair kit that has new bushings and seal for he throttle shaft. Mite need to check the shaft on the dist as we had one like that replaced with a rebuilt dist and that stopped the problem

Hey Gene can yo still get the bushings from IH or do you have another place to get them?
Also do you know if you can still get the steel needle and seat for a Zenith?
