Not sure I have an opinion, other than "interesting&quo

So is that the first you knew they were things like that used. Over the yrs you can run into all kinds of special built machines that had very useful tasks.Like the 7 special Bs that were made in Canada for mowing around tree farms. The left side actually straddled the row so the rotary blades mowed close to the trunk. Had around 8ft clearence.

Another question would anyone know about the reduction gearbox installed in the tourque tube on the B used in the ginseing operation it has the shift lever rite beside the standard shifter linkage goes in on the boss below the batt box on the left side.

Gene, there is lots in this world I haven't seen yet in my 50 years, and I am the first one to admit it. :D

I just found this one interesting looking at the engineering design to git 'er up in the air.

Needs restoration, but it is inside stored where I drove it 2 years ago (smoked some, but drove good!)

The bucket over the exhaust pipe and "Texas Shine" tell me he is fibbing. If it is such a rare gem why isn't it stored inside?

BTW, not worth 20k to me!

interesting conversion. have a tractor book that has a john deere b raised up like that, i think it was a company in nebraska or iowa that did the conversions. either for spraying or de-tasseling corn, i forget which. be kind of scary running them rascals way up high like that!!!

If memory serves me right there was one of those on ebay a year or two ago. Perhaps the same one. $20,000.00 seems alittle overpriced to me, but what do I know. Interesting none the less.

Guys, In the Texas Panhandle There were many, many conversion similar to this done on all makes of tractors. Parts of it looks like a custom welding shop made it and parts don't. No tanks, so I don't think it was a sprayer, a broom corn roager? but no sickle-bar, It does strike me as a very nice aftermarket conversion not a Factory deal! though I may stand corrected at some point in time.
The owner refers back to Randy Leffingwells framall Book,,, I refer to The same Authers book John Deere Farm Tractors pages 90 -93 look at that conversion on a JD B....with a tricycle front.
My thoughts.....

John A.
