Super A Seat Question

i started a week ago or so restoring my grandfathers super a that has been sitting around unused for prob fifteen year or so now. i have found many things that need fixing but one that seems to have me stumped is the seat. my tractor seems to have the coil spring under the seat which i can find on the parts sites. this means it has the post that rides between your legs and bolts near the brake pedals. but it also seems to have a shock there too. ive tried searching th web for pics of this setup but most that i have seen on the super a are the leasf springs and the ones that i find, which are far and few between with the high seat for the coil arent clear enough to see it there is a shock. does this sound right?

You probably have an aftermarket Monroe seat on your Super A. Look at the link below. You may find more threads in the archives of this forum. Search the archives for "aftermarket seat" and I'm sure you'll find more references and pics.
A factory Super A seat has two leaf springs and no shock absorber.
