We all seem to Find old Farmalls in the strangest, hardest to get to and most of all forgotten places. Where is the most peculiar place you have found an old Farmall?

Most of my tractor where pulled out of a field or barn. But I would have to say the one that suprized me was the F-14 wide front I found in a guys garage about 10 mile east of Queens NY almost in the city. He had bough it from an estate near great neck NY. Started work on it and he lost interest. I could roll the frame on to a trailier but the rest was in box's. All the parts where there and now it is complete and running. oldiron29

the cub im playing with now was parked in a garage in the middle of a town, according to the man i bought if from, it had been in there for years he never had time to do anything with it

I found my Super M parked in the gymnasium of an old school that was slated for demolition a little over 6 months ago. It was a bit surprising as I only went there to get a slab of maple flooring for a workbench top.

Life is funny like that!

We have been looking for a 460 for a few years.
Turned out we found it right here on YT classifieds and It was less than 10 miles from the house.

I bought a F12 in someones back yard that took me 2 hours using a corn knife and a cycle to find it,The owner told me it was in the yard for years,It was so well protected the paint was actually good,

Well, there was this house of ill repute outside of New Orleans, on the wrong side of the tracks, if you know what I mean. It was parked in their foyer. How it got their I dont know.

I found my 656 on craigslist, after looking at the phone number, it looked familiar, it was a guy I worked with, didn't even know he owned one, knew he took care of his equipment so I bought it.

I rebuilt an engine on a tractor for a guy. Couldn't pay the bill, so he gave me another tractor. The rebuild was a Massey 44, I got a Farmall M that was in better shape than the Massey. Not sure why he didn't keep the M and sell the Massey.

The guy also has a 400 sitting locked up that he said I could have. That would finish paying his bill.

Found a Farmall 'B' ,[ serial # 50169 ] setting in a barn 6 miles from home . Bought a M M 445 in a downtown Seymour, Tx. antique shop. Sorry about the M M . Bought our first Farmall 'B ,'30 rods from our house. Towed it home. clint

Mine was in the classifieds of a weekly farmer's journal. it had water in the crankcase but otherwise complete and with fair sheet metal. It was used on a large farm as a chore tractor and for cultivating. Owner was the present farmer's Dad who was planning to restore it but lost interest.

I found my 460 gas and 560 diesel barred down by the river and my boss said they lost them both 20 years ago now they are both cleaned up and running and my boss gave them to me thinking they would never run

At a racetrack! The owner shut it down back in the early 80s, another guy bougbht the place and tried to get it back going, but the neighbors stopped it. He asked me if I wanted it one day, so I drug it home. It started up after about an hour of work. Looked like death warmed over, but ran pretty good. Rebuilt the carb, tuned it up, belts and hoses and sold it for 900 bucks. The newest owner put new tires on it, and is still using it to this day to maintain his driveway and rake hay. Farmall C

The common denominator in my Farmalls they were all just no longer being used by elderly people who either used them in their earlier days or restored them and just parked them for years until they decided to sell them. One was stored by the prior owner at a cousins farm for about 10 years when he went to a retirement home until a tornado came through and the building fell in on it causing major damage. A couple tractors were restoration projects which were started and later abandoned part way through and somewhat in pieces. A couple were restored tractors done by people trying to make a buck or two over the winter when their work schedules had free time available and was something they enjoyed doing.
