I am in the process of tearing down an md block that has froze out. I was wondering what is the best way to store the parts, such as the crank, so that it does not rust or warp.
Thanks

Give it a coat of oil then wrap it inan old towel store on end in a plastic bag it will be good to go. That crank is tough it would take years of laying down to get out of specs so just stand it up tie it fast so it cant fall down.

Cosmoline dirrect .com. It's that waxy stuff you find on new raw steel products. I personally don't like to take chances with old, hard to find, expensive parts . A quart is only like $30.00 and goes a long way.

HI I work for a Case recyler We saved 2 gallons of old 90/140 tar out of a old cross moteor. I brush it on all our cranks, cams, and heads If it is inside it will last a long time. Dave
