w9 axel question

Sometimes they don't come off unless you reach into PTO opening, remove bullgear from axle, remove axle housing from rear frame, and deliver the assembly to a big stationary press. The bottle jack below is 12 ton. Your milage may vary.

I assume there similar to a W6. If you have already taken the cast wheel center off and pulled the axle out of the tractor, then all you need is a torch with a rosebud. It takes some heat to remove the coller. That's what I did on my W6 and it seemed to work very well. You cannot mess anything up considering your replacing the seals anyway. Take a little time and clean the axle well and the coller will slide on easily during reassembly. Wish I would have taken more pics, your the second person to ask in a couple months.
