Water Inlet elbow stud.

Hey guys,

There is a stud that has a nut fastened in the middle of it that secures the water inlet elbow to the block on my super a. It serves to hold the water elbow on and the generator brace connects to the outside of this double sided bolt. My question is, does the long end of the bolt go into the block or the short end? I seem to have forgotten. If you put the long end in, will it hurt anything?
Sorry but describing parts is not my cup of tea.

Thanks,
Cole

I don't know for sure but using logic here is my take on it. First off what tractor are we talking about here? As for the bolt, a lot depends on how long or short the ends are. I would put a smaller diameter rod in the threaded hole and see if it is deep enough to take the longer end of the bolt. Then I would check the short length of the bolt to see if it is long enough to hold the piece it secures. I'm guessing the short end goes into the block and the long end secures the piece.
