How in the world do i replace #7 main bearing in my D358 German diesel, split the tractor?

According to the procedure manual you should not have to split the tractor to replace the main bearings.

As per the IH service procedure manual, Operation number 4-146-D.

826 Tractor Diesel engine.

CONNECTING ROD AND MAIN BEARINGS
- Replace
1. Drain engine oil.
2. Remove:
o Oil pan.
o Rod caps and bearings.
o Main caps and bearings.
3. Check crankshaft to GSS-1377 for specifications.
4. Install new bearings and check with plastigage.
5. Reassemble.

Flat rate time is 8.8 hours.

Thanks Owen however directly below the number 7 main cap is a piece of iron that appears to be bolted to the rear crank seal housing. It won"t allow the bolts or the cap to come down?
