TD 6 serial info

For some time I have been wondering what the lengthy serial number on this TD 6 means. The last four digits or letters are hard to read and may be:
TDBK 13481 770M
T70M
77CM
T7CM
TDBK means Track Diesel: and then the BK?
13481 means 1946 production. Am I anywhere near correct, but the last four are a mystery to me. Thanks for the help...Darald

Slip on over to the Red Power site and post your question there. TD-5 from B.C. is really up on these serial number prefixes and sufixes. I'm not sure how often he visits this forum, but he checks in over there quite often.

I don't know what the 770M, etc mean, they do not fit any suffixes in Guy Fay's book, although I'm not sure it covers track tractors. The BK is simply the notation for the M/6 series engine. FBK for the M, WBK for the standard tractor, TBK for the track tractors, etc with the D inserted for diesel.
