It is ALIVE!!!!!!
Yesterday we had a storm that kill the power for 4 hours. So Today I got to the store and I got a new cap and rotor. I had enough spark last night that the tractor would crank and pop, pop, pop. But not fully fire, that gave me a ton of hope. I put the new cap and rotor on and hit the starter and it didn't even seem like it fully turned over and BAM it was runnning. I let it run for a little to smooth out and I worked the hydraulics. Everything is in full power and running strong. Thanks to everyone for their support and thoughts and most of all thanks for understanding that us newbys need our hands held at times to figure this stuff out. You guys made my week! Thanks again Ron

Great news. You can't keep a good Farmall down for long!
 
Good news to hear. I bought a B from a guy once and it started ok. He said that's just the way they are. I put a new cap, and rotor on it, made a world of difference. Always fun to get something working. Steve
 
Glad to hear that the old gem is up and running!!!!! It's also nice to learn the outcome of a problem. HAPPY TRACTORING!!!!!!!!
 
I have always thought that by posting the outcome that was the best way to let the ( doctors ) know what happened. I am so glad she is ready forthe next storm. That is going to be tonight! Ron
