Does anyone have a picture or can you tell me demensionally where the bend / bends are. This is the rod that screws into the crank. Mine is not bent correctly I know and does not crank easy at all.

Any help is appreciated

I had the original rod that was bent in multiple places and just didn't look good. I made a new rod from 5/16" rod. Threaded one end and bent the other and drilled a cotter key hole. I installed the bracket with the rod through it and installed the bent end to the pivot. That section from the center bracket forward is straight. I eyeballed the threaded end and made that bend till it looked like it was inline with the crank. Disasembled and treaded into the crank. It threaded right in but was too hard to crank. It took several more attempts to get the rod bent so I had no tension and it cranked easily. I did chase the threads in the crank with a tap and use a die on the treaded rod, once cleaned up lightly grease. Do all of this before you hook up the shutters.
