stuck 460 diesel

I finally got around to pulling the head on my stuck 460 diesel. #2 cylinder, from the front, was on an exhaust stroke and water must have gotten in there. It's rusted pretty good and it's almost at the top of the sleeve. I have never rebuilt a sleeved engine and My question is does the sleeve remove from the top or do have to drop the crank. i'm told I can just replace the one sleeve and piston and that is the way I'm gonna go unless I get advice here otherwise.
I'm having the head checked for cracks and the valves look good.
I think this engine might have been rebuilt at one point as there are no ridges at the top of th other sleeves. Does this make sense to others. I really enjoy working on these projects and have recently bought a 350LP T/A for $700. It looks good and runs great.
Thanks for any advice

ya, you got it. from the top. you should be able to unbolt the rod and push it from the btm complete with piston and rod since its seized. then clamp the rod in a vise and peel the sleeve off the piston.
