I recently bought a Harvester International Cub Cadet tractor with a Hi belly mower. It is the same size as the older red cubs but it has a squared off hood and is yellow and white like the garden tractors. The serial # is 234134J I am having a hard time finding out anything about the tractor and I have not been able to find another like it. Can anyone help?

It looks like a 1969 International Cub. I have a 1975 yellow and white cub it should look just like yours. If you want more info on this tractor you can buy an operators manual from your Case ih dealer. Or if i can help you i will. Just email me, Erik..

The square hood is just a cosmetic difference. Underneath, the tractor is essentially the same as any of the red Cubs you're familiar with. All research info you find on "Farmall" Cubs applies to the "International" ones as well.

You can find a book on Cub history at amazon, written by Ken Updike. Makes a great Christmas gift.

There's a ton of information on the web. When I found my 1967 square-hood Cub about 7 years ago, I found a ton of info through a simple google search.

I have 5 yellow and white cubs. When you research the or get parts, refer to it isas an "International Cub", not Farmall. That might be why the serial number didnt show up. Some places have them listed separate. if you need any help, any parts, or any implements for it, let me know as I have just about anything for them.

First it is not a Cub Cadet. If it is an offset tractor it is either a 1970 International Cub or a 1967 International Cub LoBoy. If it is a centered tractor, it is a 1972 Cub 154. Serial numbers don't match for it to be a a Cub 185. From your description I would guess it is most likely a 1970 International Cub.

You're right, it's not a Cub Cadet. It's a 1969 International Cub.
