Farmall A Hood emblem

Hello. Do you all know were I can get a reproducton hood emblem for my Farmall A. I want it to have the Black background. All I have found so far are just the aluminum. Pleae let me know what you have used for have. THANKS
 

The ones with the black background were used on the Farmall H tractors. Try searching for one for an H tractor and see what comes up. The ones on the Farmall A were all silver with no black. I prefer the black myself too.

I might have a new one that I bought for my H a few years ago. I have sold the tractor since, and wouldn't need it. I'll have to check.
 
The emblem for the H is much larger than the ones on the B. You say the B didnt have a black background just where did you come up with that info. You must have never ween a new one.
 
Buff the aluminum with a soft wire wheel and paint the background black with some good quality paint. Did one on my M like that many years ago. Someone else will have to chime in and let us know if the paint is flat, semi gloss or gloss. Maybe some clear coat to protect the aluminum from oxidizing.
 
I'm just going.g by the ones that are offered for it compared to the ones offered for an H. If you will look on this site they are silver.
 
Some places do sell them already painted but the price show also. I paint mine its not hard to do small brush and black paint and presto.
