H with intermittent spark

I have a 1948 Farmall H with a magneto that has a starting problem. It has a yellow spark for a short time and then no spark. Once it rests a little it will again have a spark and then the spark quits.

Points seem to be good and have replaced the condenser.

Could this be a problem with the coil or . . .?

I didn"t find anything in the archives that helped or maybe I just didn"t look at the right things or understand what was being said.

Thanks guys. I should have said the distributer cap and mag cover look good w/o any apparent cracks. Wire connecting points to coil & condenser has continuity. Not sure where to get the coil checked or how to check it.

I don't think there is any way to test it other than a simple continuity test using an ohm-meter. New mag coils are not inexpensive, $51.00, but buying a new one might be your best choice.

You say you replaced the condenser right?? If you did I would think that is your problem unless it was the problem before you replaced it. Also points can look good and be bad clean/regap or replace them.
