Farmall Super C engine serial number

Hello. I was checking out the engine serial number on my Farmall Super C and it has the following: FCM G
105647
The tractor serial number is:

105213

My question is what do all the letter in the engine serial number mean and is it likely that this is the original engine. It does not match the tractor serial number. THANKS

FCM is simply the prefix for a motor on the SuperC. The G, as a prefix, I couldn't tell you.

As far as the spread between the chassis and motor serial numbers, that's typical. No way to be sure, but I'd be pretty confident that it's the original motor.

This question comes up frequently and I believe the FC means Farmall model C, M means motor s/n and the G means gasoline in lieu of distillate or kerosene. It will be rare if both s/n's matched on a SC but I believe they did on the H's as both of mine do. I've noticed the same letters on my Super C engine as well, Hal.
