I have a new toy. It's a 55 Farmall 300, according to the serial # and casting date codes. It has a single front wheel and was used in the cotton fields south of Houston.
It has 350 emblems and paint scheme,TA,FH, IPTO & power steering. From the archives I believe the single cylinder fasthitch is off of a 350.
The serial # is 19259RJ. What is the "R" suffix mean.

R means: it has a TA with provision for transmission driven PTO, ie, not a live PTO, the J means: rockford clutch.

The "R" suffix indicates TA with provision for transmission driven PTO. A "S" suffix indicates TA with provision for 540 independent PTO. A "P" indicates an independent PTO attachment with TA. If you have an IPTO it might have been a retrofit if that was possible following production. If the tractor does in fact have an IPTO it must have been added in some manner, Hal.

Off topic from a 300/350, but would you guys know what a "G" suffix means? I have a 1949 Super A, and the engine serial number (on block) reads "FAA 232,xxx G". You guys seem to know alot about the suffixes. Thanks for the help
