I have a 1940 H that I want to remove the magneto. Is there an adapter to replace the mag or do I have to run through it. Thanks, Joe

All distributor from Hs and Super Hs will bolt right on where the Mag is now.
Almost all 4 cylinder IH distributors will also work if you change the centrifugal advance springs, and advance stop limit. They will work without changes, but the total advance and curve will be off.
The ignition switch will need to be changed (the current switch is a grounding "kill" switch). A new wire from the load side of the Amp meter will be the source of voltage to the switch, and from the switch to the coil negative side. (positive ground system. Jim

All distributors from any non diesel letter series will bolt up and work, there is differences in advance curves but they will run well enough to suit me tractor has gone all these years with magneto and they do not even have advance. However you have to have distributor drive to bolt on where magneto was removed and then bolt distributor to the drive.
