I was wondering where I could find the torque specs. for the oil pan on my H. Thanks

you wont find any. it is done by feel without sqeezeing the gasket out. am just guessing at 10lbs torque.

Don't get it too tight. Smashing the cork gasket has probably caused more leaks than anything else.

Take the pan, put it on a flat surface bottom up and carefully tap the lip back to "flat" !! As said previously, it's all about feel. Much better to under tighten than to over tighten. I use a thin coat of Permatex non-hardening sealer just because leaks bug me no end. Craig

As the others indicate. Tighten untill the gasket surfaces contact, then tighten evenly all around in 1/2 turn or less increments, just enough to get a slight bulge (no more) in the gasket. Jim
