806 quit running

My 806 was running fine started up a slight hill and died down and lost all power limped it to the shed, barely running at all and changed fuel filters looked at the fuel it looks nice and red when went to restart it found it was only running on one cylinder can"t get fuel out of any of the other injector lines , I do not see a lift pump on this tractor any thought or ideas?

MY thoughts:
1. Is fuel on at tank?
2. I assume you tried bleeding the injectors with it running? Sounds like an airlock is possible.
3. Do you have a Roosamaster pump? (May say Standadyne on it if it"s been rebuilt.)If you have a fuel pressure gauge, (can be bought at auto stores or harbor freight for $15-$20), you can pull the bottom plug (Opposite of fuel inlet) on the Roosamaster pump, install your gauge, and with tractor running should make 50-90 psi depending on tractor rpm. If that is low you"ll need the transfer pump (and consequently the Injector pump itself) rebuilt. (starving for fuel.)
That"s just my first thoughts without the tractor (or my engine service manual) in front of me.
By the way, What temperatures are we talking here?
Is the fuel gelled up? Have you had problem with algae growth plugging up your filters (and consequently fuel lines, maybe even fuel tank.)
Good luck! -Andy

LN, Stop! First disconnect the line from the tank to the filters! Is it stopped up? On My 966 tank valve, where it screws into the tank there is a little 1/8 pipe nipple that sticks up into the tank so water and rust and crud won't get sucked down and shot off the fuel from the rest of the system. After 30+ yrs there is a bunch of crud built up in these tanks. My 966 would shut off completely so no fuel would come through at all. I would bet that may be the case with yours. If so......
1...The fix is drain the tank and remove the valve fitting from the tank. flush tank if you can.
2...Contact your local tractor wrecking yard get the [in line screen from the York AC Compressor on a IH 1086] the little screen is about 3.5 or < in long, and about as big around as a big first grade pencil!
3...Afix the little screen to the 1in long nipple on the tank valve. {tie with small wire it will have to clear the ID of 3/4 pipe treads}!
4...Reinstall and fill with diesel and get to work.
Hope this helps

Good lesson for you here and great advice. The lesson is trouble shoot first. Nothing worse than replacing a bunch of expensive parts to find out it was a plugged fuel line.

Your system is gravity feed to the pump (Actually because of gravity it feeds to the injector pump well enough that the pump dose the work from there). After all the tank sits higher than the injector pump so no need for a lift pump.
