Intl 403 tachometer ?

Was with my BIL over Thanksgiving. He bought a 403 a few years back that had been lightly used by a city parks dept. Came with a 5 ft Woods mower. Told me the tachometer was broken. Question is does someone repair these or..could any good speedometer shop fix it? I don't know what it is that's broken--the case/dial or the cable or ? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

The only IH 403 I know of is a combine. Do you mean IH 404 or 414 or 424 or 444 or some other model. The tach can probably be rebuilt but you can also probably find a replacement for it which I would recommend.

Harold...thanks for the reply. I thought he said it was a 403 but might be wrong. Was a rather squat wide front utility type tractor.Maybe slightly bigger than a Ford 2N type. Can you suggest a place to try to buy a replacement tach?
Or someone to rebuild it? Thanks so much Pat Klise
