We have had some threads that have split apart on the board here lately. This is caused by the original poster of the thread editing after posting, and changing the subject line.

Please do not change the subject line if you start a thread and edit your original post. If it's really critical, contact me, I will delete or lock the topic and you can start again.

I can't fix this without creating some other problems so I'm not moving quickly on it. It will be fixed but I'd ask that people follow this guideline until then.

This only applies to people who start a topic and then edit the first post they made.

you have to log onto the modern veiw forums in order to edit posts. then you just click on the edit button and change what needs to be changed.

For all those discussing this, move discussions about the forum software to Site Comments.

As some of you noted, there is more to the problem than just editing the subject of a already entered post or topic starter. I have known the other issues for a long time, fixing them is shaky ground on the live forums. I'll explain more in site comments.
