I am unable to find what, if any, options came on the H such as T/A, hydraulics, fast hitch etc.
I am not especially handy with computers but any web sites with this stuff would be very welcome.
tks for the time,
dg

No TA or fast hitch. Early SH had a transmission driven belly pump for hydraulics, later ones engine driven live pump. This site can answer any question you may have.

An H was normally equipped with a Liftall belly (non-live hydraulics)650 to 800 psi in the later versions.
Wide front narrow front single front wheel.
some tire options including steel wheels, gasoline only, or tractor fuel gas start, or kerosene with gasoline start. There were several dealer installed/aftermarket accessories, including 9 speed adapters, Osco-Lambert disk brakes, M&W pistons and governors, hand throttle refits and umbrella sockets, PTO lever modifications, belt pulley gearbox and pulley, radiator shutters, fenders, spark arresters, weights both front and rear, paint of any color. Seats and seat systems were also popular. I have forgotten several options but these are fairly common. Super H had these and other options as pointed out below Jim

So, No T/A offered? What years of production for this model so I know an early from a late? One more before I desist botheration, what HP ratings between H, SH and M, SM ? Thanks bunches for the data.

53-54 are the production years for a Super H, I have a 53 with a belly pump. You can look up the horsepower ratings on all the tractors you mentioned and compare them at external_link, good site for info.

Another way to identify-53's had a spring under the seat and 54's had the battery box under the seat.

Hydraulics--there were Stage I's and Stage II's. And some Super H's had a a little bit of both.

Super H`s after serial # 19234 had the battery box under the seat (stage 2). Serial # 19234 was manufactured Nov. 1st ,1953. So not just `54 models were stage 2, last 2 months of `53 were also. IH never produced the stage 3 (SHTA),which would have had the T/A and live PTO. Instead they introduced these improvements on the Farmall 300`s in late 1954.

Mark is exactly right. An early SH (below 19234) was really nothing more than a souped up H with disc brakes. Beginning with 19234, you got the bigger engine, disc brakes [u:0df3114e38]and[/u:0df3114e38] live hydraulics - unless you ordered one with the live hydraulic delete. Battery box was moved under the seat to make room for the live hydraulic valve body and reservoir.
