What I have done is measure the ID and then the OD down at the bottom and then you can have a centering ridge placed in it and it makes it so much easier to pull those out without slipping out of place and getting against the block bore.

The bare bore is 4.240". Make the OD of the puck 4.230".

Turn one land to 4.120" for C-281 engines.

Turn another land on the first land to 3.995" for C-264 engines.

Center drill the puck for whatever size drawbar you are using.

Those two lands will cover the regular and thin wall liners. You won't know what you have until you pull the head or oilpan.

If its stock and hasn't been bored over like the last two I have done. IT appeared that the block had been damaged and someone had over sized it, or they wanted over sized sleeves and pistons in them but both were way over by .060 and the stock sleeves just fell in and rattled around. Had to measure them all out and ordered .060 over from the parts house. Now I have 3 different sizes of pucks as you call them. LOL what a mess we sometimes run into. Good luck all.

I can set you up with a plate for pulling your sleeves for $30 plus shipping. You just need to let me know what size sleeves you have. My email is open. I'm located in southern Minnesota.
