I want to thank everyone that responded to my inquiry about the front end loader. Thanks so much. Now I am looking for the 1206 emblem that is attached on the lower right and left sides right behind the front grill. I have been looking for one to replace one that is missing but have been unable to find one at a reasonable price. I have found a couple from parts houses but want fortune. I don't know if they have become collectors items or what. But all I want is one that I can clean up, restore and repaint so that the sides match.
I am restoring this tractor aesthetically as its in great working condition and I just really want to kind of spruce it up and dress it up. It will most likely be the last tractor I ever buy and I don't think any of the kids will carry on the family farm. I am not trying to build a show peace. It's just a everyday working reactor but I think its in good enough condition that it deserves the restoration.
It has the straight side cab with no fenders, So I am custom fabricating fenders for it has none nor were any ever made available for this model as I understand it. I have seen some pictures where some have modified the round fenders or have installed the small mud deflectors as we call them. So I decided to just make my own and make them cover what I want them to cover and can install the field and caution lighting. The law around here has started harassing the tractor operators around here about safety markings, SMV placards, and warning lights even to the point of turn signals. I think break lights are next and I even heard that some of the west coast invaders want us to have to license out tractors and implements. I have attached a couple pics as my starting. I will send more later. need to take some more. But the sheet metal has no damage at all.
