1468-1568 mufflers

I was shocked the other day when I asked my friendly CNH dealer about the price of new mufflers for my V-8 tractors. I like the original shape but I'm not going to pay over $200 each. Does anyone know of an aftermarket muffler that is close in shape to the original muffler?

I just went through all of this with my 1468. I ended up getting mufflers for $90CDN. I went to my local heavy truck shop with the dimenstions and they ended up finding mufflers. My dimentions are Overall lenght 30", can lenght 21", inlet and outlet are goin to be 3". If i knew how to post a picutre i could show you. They sound great to. I can get mufflers for your V8 and the shields for the manifolds or straight pipes as well. Email me for info.

They aren't cheap, but isn't it amazing that you can still get new mufflers for a rare ~35-year-old tractor FROM THE DEALER?

If you buy the muffler for an 806 (398511R1) and add a pipe extension, you'll have the SAME EXACT part as the original.

The original V-8 mufflers (538148R2) are made using the 398511R body with a longer outlet pipe added.
