Discharging 300

Y is my 300 Farmal dicharging? All the wires are going to the correct place's. Any suggestions would be great. Have had some from neighbors but it dadn't work.

Polarize the generator by momentarily jumpering the "BATT" and "ARM" terminals at the voltage regulator with the engine "OFF".

If it still doesn't charge "full-field" it by jumpering the "F" terminal to ground at the generator. If it now charges, most likely you have a VR problem. If the ammeter STILL doesn't show charge, check the voltage at the "A" terminal at the generator to see if the generator is putting out any voltage and the trouble could be a bad VR cutout relay. If no significant voltage at the generator's "A" terminal with it "full-fielded", most likely there's an internal generator problem, check the brushes first.
