Well, I hauled her 360 miles today to get her home. She is a tad rougher than I expected, but absolutely can be restored. It also has what I believe to be cultivator controls on it, that I would be willing to sell.

Anyway, here they are:

Lots of work, but I now have an F-30!!!!!!!!!!!

PS I have the gas tank, air cleaner, oil pan, and some other parts that were removed by the previous owner.

Serial Number FB14655, which makes her a 1936

Tom, You got a good project! But I know by spring It will come out of the shed looking like it should an F-30. I did my grandfathers 1944 M last winter, it had been sitting out stuck for 25 years. Alot more work on the new tractor with all the sheet metal. I still like working on the old F's better. I have a 33' F-12 in now, needs mostly seals and gaskets. The TO bearing and new clutch disc's than painting the spring. Than I have a 29' Regular that was stuck now free to get running. Before you no it april will be here. oldiron29

Well bless you for taking it on. More than I would have done I think unless they gave it to me. Rear rims look kind of rough and the tires are going to hurt some. Starting that far in the hole I could not have taken it in. Gonna be an amazing sense of satisfaction when you get it done, though.

Tom,The down fall on the one I bought was the mice contaminated the clutch plates and clutch parts were all stuck together,I love the F30s but there a little heavy for me to haul.

thanks guys. Here is some more. The clutch is free and works fine. The tranny is free and shifts into all gears. I have the rear tires, and they are in good shape. I have already tracked down rear wheels for it. I saved the wheels in the pics, because the spokes and the hubs are good. Rims shot. That can be fixed.

The biggest challenge on this will be either repairing or finding the hood and a connecting rod/piston for it. I know they are the same as the 10/20. #2 connecting rod is a pretzel. Old girl was stuck, and they tried pulling her to break the engine free. #1,3,4 moved, #2 didn't and the connecting rod is junk now.

The block is solid, with no cracks. Head looks good too. I know this is going to be a lot of work, as it is the worst condition tractor I have picked up to date, but I think I can make it work. I paid scrap price for it, and I am happy with that. The good parts on it alone are worth more than scrap.

thanks 36.

BTW, if any of you have not seen pictures of 36F30's F-30, it is stunning! If mine turns out half as good, i will be very pleased!

Does anyone know the size of the axle nut (center)? I measured it at 3 3/8", but they are cruddy. 3 1/2" socket looks like it would work also.

I am going to buy a socket and would like to get the right one
