Farmall engine head for what motor?

1949H

I recently acquired a semi-complete farmall head that seems to the similar to a H or 300 head however I am not sure. What engine did this head come from?

On the head under the valve cover there is the following: 6186-DD

Also on the head on the outside of the valve cover on the manifold side is the following: 4 15 J

can anybody tell me what this head is from or what this head is compatible with?

thank you

From the code "4-15-J" I believe it was cast on April 15, 1940. That would most likely make it an H.

Kerosene fuel head for a early H. It uses smaller diameter manifold mounting studs than later heads.
