130 battery

I have a 130 that is 6 volt and I intend to keep it that way. The tractor did not have a battery or a battery box with it. What size battery with what specifications should I buy?

Very easy buy the box then the batt. to fit. those 650 cca. amp batt. are pretty much all the same size.

For 6 volt it takes a group 1. I will get hammered for this, but change it to 12 volts and be done with it. A new battery is a large part of the cost of the conversion and you need a new one anyway.

I start mine all the time with a 12 volt battery.

If you are just trying to see if it will crank over or start why not try jumping it? Had a troybilt mower with a bad battery (0 volts) jumped it with a battery charger.

Since its 6 volts, is it negative ground?
