Farmall A coolant capacity

I am needing to know the coolant capacity of a farmall A. My manual is at my shop and I am at work. The auto store is inbetween. Thanks for you help.

Has it had a water pump installed ? If not and it is still stock it will just spit out what it doesn't need.

When you fill up a thermal syphen system it will spit the excess out the over flow. It should have a zero presure cap as well.
 
John I have seen this premix warning a lot of times on this forum and I am sure that is the best way but I have owned my A for over forty years and have never premixed coolant and it has never frozen even in below 0 cold. If coolant did not circulate some there would be no need for radiator or fan IMHO. On the other hand I will probaly premix next time it certainly won't hurt anything.
 
Later models of the SA and C without water pumps were pressurized. I have two that are that way from the factory, and a third that has a replacemnt pressurized radiator.
 
Thanks everyone. It doesn't have the pump, just the siphon. About the premixing, I can say it definitely doesn't hurt. But, when it warms and starts to circulate; wouldn't it mix then?
 
Without a pump, it doesnt mix as fast as it would with a pump. You may have a spot where the freeze level "could" be lower than the rest of it, and that part "could" freeze and cause damage. I personally only have 2 tractors with thermosyphon systems. I did premix one, its a Cub, and doesnt hold much to start with, but I didnt premix my 14, just dumped a gallon of AF, then a gallon of water, and so on, and I havent had problems with either, but I live in the south so it doesnt get cold enough most of the time to do any damage. My buddy up north, he has/had a F30 that has a busted lower casting because he didnt premix, but I think he just didnt have enough AF in there to start with.
