Super A stuck front end

I want to narrow up my super a front all the way in and obviously it seems stuck hard in place. I do not have access to torches right now for the heat. I have driven it a while with the clamps off and lubricated it regularly. Has anyone used a comealong to try to pull them in by attatching it to the opposite side?

I had to take one of mine apart two years ago because the spindle broke off the bottom of the adjustable tube, Half a can of PB Blaster, several heat and cool cycles, a BFH and a porta power pushing off a steel plate against the steering box, the next morning it finally came apart, got it welded back together, cleaned it up good and applied a thick coat of never sieze and put it back together, bottom line is absolutely needed high heat, oxy/acet. NOT map or propane torch, not near hot enough, I had the outer tube RED hot.

Lay off the heat or last resort. Disconnect the steering gear, Take out the steering knuckle post, then install a pipe through one side of the axle.
This pipe will have an expander on the end to drive the opposite side out. Barring that, remove axle and soak vertically with your choice penetrant.
Barring that, cook the front axle in a electrolytic bath after having been removed from your super A.
Try not to stress the pipes to much Good Luck, I have a electrolytic bath procedure if the first 2 methods fail.

Hey outlar, I don't think your pipe from the other end will work, isn't there a tube welded thru the axle that the pivot pin rides in its bushings in?

You could be right, Remove the axle and soak vertically, or try the bath
http://www.fboerger.com try the restoration link. or google this name there is a great pdf by this same author out there. You have a chance to keep your axle in original condition.

You just mite be in for a big project. I had one that i removed the whole assy off the tractor. Then using wd and some cold chisels in the slots and much tapping with a hammer to get the wd to penetrate finall got it loose. Some will use a torch but you need some help doing that.
