I found an International power unit setting beside a barn last week. It has injectors on one side and spark plugs on the other side, just like the MD. This thing was huge. Setting on the ground it was over six feet high. It had six cylinders, looked like it was on the original steel skid, and had the clutch and pulley. The sheet metal was intact and it had the International hood emblem like the M's, H's, etc. Like a dummy I didn't get a serial number. I'm going to try to buy it. Any ideas on what it is, what it's worth, etc.
 
As to what it's worth, depends on condition. I don't know what you can get for parts for gas start diesels that size but I imagine you'd have to begin by auctioning body parts to pay for them. I'd figure on scrap value and go from there. Sam
 
If it is loose, and has compression, It is worth 4 times what it is if it is stuck. TD18 crawlers had them, and gen sets as well. Really big saw mills were another use. Start at scrap price and decide how bad you need it and what for. Jim
