Farmall B high idle

I just finished putting my B back together, i got it started but it runs wide open.The rpm wont change when you move the throttle lever, i have to disconnect the rod from the lever and push it to get it to idle down.I adjusted the carb lever per I&T manual,i psuhe the carb lever and governerarm all the way forward and adjusted as manual stated and it actually got a little worse, so i backed it off a little bit past orignal adjustment and its a little better. Any suggestions. Thanks Brandon

Dis you do any work on the governor while you had it apart? New thrust bearing, springs . . . . anything??? If so, then crank back the bolt-head on top the one with the jam nut between it and the governor body, and see if you can get a rein on it.

If you never got into the governor, then you may be up for the usual suspects, which could include the spring, the thrust bearing, and making sure the needle bearings and bushings are all in ggod shape.

Should be done with the parts all the way BACK.
