H Fenders

Wanting to put fenders on my 40 H. Is there a way to tell original ones from aftermarket? None of the ones I've looked at have any logo or numbers on them.

Not really, If they have seventeen coats of paint they are probably original. Some of the reproductions may be discernible if you had the two side by side but without a reference point it would be hard. I think a person who was used to looking at sets of originals could tell. Lots of others will "tell" you they can tell but I wouldn't bank on it.
