Farmall 300 LP

I recently acquired this 300 Farmall. It has been sitting for a couple of years. I am not able to get spark to the distributor. I have a new set of points and condenser I want to install. I don"t see anyway to do this other than removing the distributor. Does anyone have any experience with this tractor and know what I need to do to remove the distributor and reinstall? Is this tractor similar to the H? This is my first Farmall and my first LP fuel system. Thanks for any help.

I am confused do you have a photo of the distributor in question. (sounds like you may have a magneto)Either way distributor or mag the points are under the cap. NO reason to remove the entire assembly for that.
I thought the H and 300 were close if not the same. My 300LP is the same as all my H's. Fuel system has nothing to do with no spark as all 300LP's were conversions anyway.

Thanks for a reply. I"m well aware the fuel and ignition are separate. It is a distributor but there is so little room. maybe I need to remove the hydraulic lines for more room?I didnt think i could do a good job with out removing the distributor. Thanks.

when you say 300 LPs were conversions. This looks like a factory installation. It has LP on the hood like the farmall and 300.

I am no expert but I understand that all the 300's were factory gasoline and dealer (or later) conversions to LP. Here is the best photo I have of mine at the moment. I'll try to get a few of the LP system tomorrow if you want.

Pulling the distributor is not really a problem just make sure you mark the rotor position before removal. Then be sure to get it back in the same spot. it's been a while since I did mine and the only thing I remember is the loader was in the way.
again I can look at it in the light of day, and possible be of more help then.
