My M started then died out like it wasn't getting gas. I choked good but then thought I had flooded it so let it sit. The next day it tried to start but didn't. I then took off the gas line to the carburator to see if gas was coming and it was. After putting the line back on I opened the shut off line and gas came pouring out of the line from the carburator. No matter how tight I get it it still leaks. I get the nuts tight and the steel line still seems to be loose inside. I don't understand how just a line going into the carburator can be tightened without leaking. I don't think I lost anything when taking it off.Is there something that goes over the line inside to seal?

A ferrele goes on the line. Normally they are compressed and are difficult to get off but it may have been loose and fell off.
