Sediment bowl

I just had a thought to ask this. On my H I had to get a new sediment bowl to replace the original dual fuel one because of a leak/vacuum issue but the new one I got from the local IH dealership leaks around the threads that go into the gas tank. It's been doin this fo a few months it just doesn't leak bad enough for me to do anything about it yet. The new one I got on the last turn of thread has a smaller width thread. Is this a locking device or would it keep it from leakin? Thanks for any answers

I didn't turn it into those threads because it was gettin kinda tight and I didn't wanna break the bung in the gas tank

Try teflon tape.

most likely you"ll break the sed bowl before you"ll mess up the tank. Try some teflon tape, that should get it.
