Well since I was asked here are the pictures of what it looks like right now.
Any ideas as to what model the sickle mower might be?? If I can figure out what model it is I might be able to get the info as to how long the pit-man stick is.
Thanks

Ya and that is pretty much all I plan to use it for also. Boy what a pain in the back sides and my back to get that on and then finding out that the PTO shaft had to be hooked up before you hooked up the last 4 bolts. I do plan to pull the bar out and install all NEW sections with bolts so it will be as close as I can get it to being ready this spring

We used a 'C' with a rear mounted mower for years. It was a nice outfit, tight turning easy to control. It looks like you are on your way. It used axle clamps to mount, not bad if it was blocked up properly when off the tractor.

This one has 3 bolts on each side for mounting it. 2 up on the front area of the rear end housing then 4 towards the back in the area where the draw bar bolts. Ya if it had been on blocks it probably would have gone on a tad bit easier

Ya from the measurement I have from a catalog and the measuring I have done to try to make a pit-man stick a 24 would fit right in since from what I can tell so far the stick is just a tad shorter then 36 inches. That helps narrow things down some

Dad had one of those also. I got good at changing from cultivator to mower and back again. Like you said, wasn't bad if you had it blocked up good. Handiest mower tractor around, if it only had another gear between 3rd and 4th.

I can't see the front end in the pictures. Does it have a B narrow front which is why you call it a BA? It looks like an A from what we can see.

By the second pic, it looks like it has two springs on the rear, that would make it a # 24, if it only had one spring, it would be a # 21, which is what I bought one of about two months ago for my Super A.

From the torque tube forward it is a B and from there back it is an A. I built it from 3 tractors. The A had rolled down a hill and hit a tree which in turn broke it into pieces so the front end and torque and block where bad but the rear end was still good. I also had these Bs with a good block and I could have just put a B together but had this sickle mower that fit the A but would not fit a B so I built the BA

The rear end and tranny are from an A but from there forward it is a B I built it from 3 other dead tractors so that is why I call it a BA. Used parts from 2 Bs and one A to build a BA. plus had this sickle mower that fit the A but would not fit a B

Many years ago I built a mower from junk stuff that fit as a mid mount on a B I had. Found it to be very good for mowing hay and used it for years till I got a MOCO

It also has wheel weights on both sides and if I had another pair of pressed steel centers I might have put duals on both sides but since I only had that one set can't do it
