#8 International Plows

I would like to know where a person can go to find out information concerning the numberd plows that were made for IH from P&O plow company. I have a recently purchased plow that has PO814 on the rear wheel casting. It tells me that it is a #8 plow and 14 inch bottoms. Which I think is correct. But I would like to know more about the plow. Any help on this would be appreciated!
 
You're going to have to do a bit of legwork because there's no one definitive source. Various IH books have short sections on plows, but they're only a general history.

It seems like IH has sold as many different model plows as tractors. Maybe more.

Owner's manuals with parts lists are going to help you equate parts with plows. I think binder books has repopped plow manuals for certain popular models. Again, there's no one definitive source.
 
Thanks for the response. I kind of thought that may be the case as I wasn't finding very much information concerning this topic!
 
po814 is the part number for the casting. (for example po816 is a casting on the furrow axle) It tells you nothing about the plow. that casting was used on the #8, 10, & 15 plows. Beam numbers would help confirm the model most readily.
