Super C instrument box

I'm getting some flex in the steering column instrument box when I get on the tractor. Any body come up with a way to reinforce that and eliminate the flex.

Not sure why it would flex. Mine is as solid as can be on my C.

I've noticed the same on mine when I haul my carcass up into the seat by hangin' onto the wheel. It usually shows up in the Touch Control, as the flex acts on the controls in a way that it loads the system. Mild, but definitely noticeable. Don't know as there's a fix for it. Don't know how I'd narrow it down between the box flexing or the steering post above it.

The battery box is supposed to add support to the panel. If you don't have a good box properly bolted in, try fixing that.

Great tip. I'll have to look at that. I know it's not bolted together. This is a 53SC with a solid battery box. I suspect that it's not original as the book shows a battery box with left & right sides.

The two 3/8 fine thread bolts on the top inside battery box stiffen it up.
