There are two felt washers in the front wheelbearing kit I got for my "53 Super A. One thick and the other thinner.
Removing the old bearing, or what was left, I found the thinner washer against the inner side of the spindle, the oil seal went on next. Does the thicker felt washer go between the inner and outer bearings?
The inner bearing had come apart, and I could find no trace of the thicker washer as I was taking things apart.
I"ve cleaned the spindle up with emery cloth to remove the burrs. Should I have to tap the races into the hub of the wheel?
