Tractor Buddies

I posted the other day about bringing home a buddy for my 'ol 424, an A.

Looks like I'd better get the grille screen cleaned up!

Here's a couple of photos. Son Drew is trying out the A for size.

Yeah, the are FUN! When I was growing up we had 2 A's and a B that I spent MANY hours driving mowing or raking hay. They were sold to pay rest home bills. I've wanted to get another A or B for a long time. I have a side-mount sickle mower I'll probably put on it. I have a 2-row cultivator for a B, and I'd like to find a tractor for it.

That A looks like great company for the 424. Speaking of, how do you like your 424? I've been thinking, since this summer, of saving up & getting one. They look like good little tractors. I would use mine primarily for cutting hay with a mower & conditioner. Nuthin' fancy or heavy duty.

It's be a WONDERFUL little diesel. Only gripes are it has aftermarket power steering that could be better, and the it's a little hard to shift.

Power and fuel economy are good and the hydraulics and hitch work well.
