47 BN Crank

Can anyone tell me where the clip for holding the crank on a BN would be located? I see the clip for sale and I have the crank but I've never noticed where it is located on the tractor. Thanks

It's held down by the heads of the two bolts through the top of the right edge of the tranny cover, the casting that holds your shifter. You can pop the crank into the clip so that the handle rests on the seat platform behind the clutch pedal, but that tends to get in the way. I carry it the other way, snaking the crook of it through the forward of the two large holes in the left-hand seat support, so that the handle rests on the floor pan, under the seat and out of the way.

As I remember, From messing with an A once, The clips would go in the bolts that hold the transmission top plate down. The bolts used would be the ones (2 as memory serves me) closest to the operator's seat that run the length of the tractor/cover. On a side note, Howdy, Neighbor! I live in Blissfield!

The clips go on top of the tranny case next to the driver. The crank came from the factory with the handle over the top of the battery box and after all the yrs its still there and thats where i have mine with the cranks on the ones that have cranks.
