bought a h last spring front bucket doesnt lift very high low on fluild would like to know what kind and weight is recomended? thank you

Original IH specs called for 30 weight, non-detergent motor oil for warm weather use, 20 weight for cooler temps, and 10 weight for extreme cold, BUT, that hydraulic system is very simple and forgiving, and will function just fine with just about any kind of oil. Most of us anymore use Hy-Tran or any other modern hydraulic oil.

Hy-tran will work fine, only expect that if your seals are not already bad, they will all be before too long. I have a super H, and when the hy-tran was put in it, all the seals blew out, because hydraulic oil is too thin. I would suggest using 30 weight non-detergent, as long as you do not hook your hydraulics up to a modern piece of machinery that is designed for regular hydraulic fluid. I have heard of some guys putting in 90 weight gear lube, and having good success with it. Only do not expect to be able to use it in cold weather, as it will probably be like molasses.

I use the hyd-trans fluid from Rural King and works great in my H and my DC Case, They both have had leaks over the years and it is alot cheaper than HY-Tran . My H has a loader on it also and the seals have leaked over the years and inbetween fixes the cheaper oil worked just fine. Good Luck, Kenny.
