Im trying to figure out the best wat to replace the rubber bushing or on my c .The bolt broke off one side and I havent tried the other side yet I was thinking about usung a saw saw and soak it with wd 40 and drive it out. Another question why do these guy weld a piece a pipe in where the bushing goes it still loose. Any help would be help full. Thanks

Quick dirty solutions are often done as the need is found to exist. Many modified components were done to keep going in the field without a trip to town.
When you get it cleaned up and ready for new bushings, I believe CaseIH have them, OEM night also have them. You will find shock absorber bushings at NAPA that might also work. Good luck.

A long bolt and a couple of shock absorber bushings work just fine. That's how I fixed my '50 H 10 years ago and it is still working just fine. I did create several new words while getting that original pivot shaft out though. I ended up spreading that bottom bracket just enough that I could get in there with a hacksaw and cut those bolts off. Had to do it on both sides.

That original pivot bolt is made with the bushings molded right on, and yes, it IS larger in the center.

I've got a couple of the Monroe seats out behind my shop with evidence of that bracket being cut with a torch and then welded back on after the pivot bolt was replaced.
