Reassembly Question

Ready to put my tractor back together after installing rear main seal. Should I (can I) put it together with the transmission shaft in place, or should I remove shaft and put back in separately?
I work alone and don't want to make any mistakes.
Thanks for any responses.

Seems to me it was a MD you are working on. You can leave transmisson shaft installed and just guide it into clutch as you push her together. If the belly pump is out it is easy, if not little more difficult, just don't force anything.

Thanks, it is an MD. Sorry I didn't say so. Belly pump is out, so if I realign clutch, it should go together with shaft in, correct?

Sorry, it is an MD. I'm thinking that with correct clutch alignment, tractor should go together with transmission shaft already in, but am not quite sure. Don't want to force anything.
